They’re SOAR’ing in Arkansas.

Earlier this month, Phoenix Society Associate Director Peterson and SOAR (Survivors Offering Assistance in Recovery) National Advisory Committee member Barbara Kammerer Quayle traveled to Little Rock, AR, where they held a SOAR Peer Support training at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

The team trained 11 peer supporters and one SOAR coordinator.

“The participants were wonderful!” said Peterson, “We’re excited to not only involve the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in the program, but watch as they provide wonderful support to burn survivors and their families and friends.”

SOAR is currently offered in 48 hospitals within the United States and Canada.
